In this project I have created a worldview and vision that revolves around contemporary social issues that (still) exist around the female body. Think about beauty standards, but also the place that women occupy in society.

The word ‘pure’ in Purocene does not stand for an ideal image for me, but for the pure in the sense of  survival, beauty and respect.

What will happen when Mother Nature takes her earth back? How would the word look like? What things will be important?

Besides my mind and opinions about the world, I let my passion for existing myths and old stories play a role in this project.

I used digital photography and the art of the old Toyobo printing technique as a sign that some of the issues we experience in society today will be issues of all time. So what will we finally do about them?
